Breeding programme
Our bespoke and luxury breeding programme is currently producing one litter each year. We specialise in working dogs, specifically Working Cocker Spaniels. We strive for excellence ensuring every element of our care and every decision made is in the best interests of the animals.
All of our puppies are KC registered, weaned, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea’d and began their training in toileting and crate when leaving day arrives.
Our facilities are available to view for any of our forever families but photos are included on our gallery page.
If you are interested in purchasing one of our puppies, we always advise for your own security that you do so through our pets4homes page.
What makes our breeding programme bespoke?
Puppy parents
Our mamma bitches have been raised in our family home and herself and the puppies are raised around four children.
Our bitches are 5 generation kennel club registered and have a very good temperament.
We choose our studs very carefully ensuring that they are 5 generation kennel club registered, have an inbreeding average of CoI 10.4%, health tested and carry a very good temperament proven in the natural studding process.
Litter themes
The reason we implement litter themes and temporary names around that theme is to give our forever families something different. Weekly photos based around our theme, keepsakes to go in the puppy packs & just a bit of fun to really show how passionate we strive to be for our doggies and we never know when the theme names strike inspiration in their forever families choice of name.
The kennel club name will include their litter theme name as a memory to last a lifetime.

Curriculum & Therapies
Our puppies receive different levels of curriculum from birth until they leave us for their forever homes which are inclusive of:
Noise therapy
Providing early exposure to these sounds and putting them together with comforting sounds can be hugely beneficial for dogs and can produce much calmer easy going canine friends. This not only helps owners but gives dogs a much more stable and fear free life which in turn can mean longer and healthier lives. We provide noise therapy to any age dog as part of our services specialised to what that dog may need. The sounds we incorporate as part of our puppies every day care are: Fireworks, Thunder, Loud bangs, Door bell & Knocking, Alarms, Children & Babies, Traffic, Vacuum, Dogs, Cats, Hair clippers, Cows, sheep & Chickens, Gun fire, Car ride.
Play
We introduce our puppies to a wide range of different toys, activities & items which encourages and empowers our puppies to grow into dogs who have a healthy way of letting out their energy. In addition to that, it is a fun way to introduce our puppies to everyday household items in order to prevent timidness and distress in the early months of their lives. This includes: Cardboard Box, Fluffy tunnel, Water bottles, Balloons, Teddies, Ropes, Rubber toys, Plastic box, Textured balls
Texture exposure
We follow our curriculum plan by exposing puppies to a few different textures each week, it is a simple way of building up their resilience and confidence to the textures they will eventually be exposed to later in life. This includes: Towel, Puppy pads, Different material, Blankets, Artificial grass, Bubble wrap, Water, Fake plants, Plastic toys, Dog bed plus more!
Socialisation
As the puppies grow and start to walk, introducing them to different environments is massively beneficial for helping them adjust to their forever homes when they leave our care. They need to be used to the different textures, smells & living situation that they are thrown into on their go home day. Letting them have the run of the house for periods of the day and outdoor play in a safe and secure pen will give them more confidence in new situations, resilience to stressful situations and tolerance to humans, children or animals.
Temperament testing
At 4, 6 & 8 weeks old, our puppies complete aptitude testing as part of their curriculum. This is helpful for the forever family and ourselves to best match the puppy to the owner and their lifestyle. It also celebrates each puppy showcasing their individuality.
ENS & ESI
Early neurological stimulation exercises (ENS) & Early scent introduction (ESI) start during the first week after birth. It has been proven to improve their stress responses later in life, improve cardio vascular performance (heart rate) and give them a greater resistance to disease. It is also used to promote the future performance of working dogs.
Training
Our dogs & puppies are held to a high standard of training with a positive reinforcement method, this ensures a smooth transition from our care to their forever homes and encourages a safe and loving environment.
The training we provide and encourage to be continued are:
Crate training
Crate training is a tool that a lot of dog owners choose to use. Done correctly, it can improve toilet training, the behaviour and calmness of your dog. Making it a calm environment used in a positive way is the way to go. It is not a punishment, it is safe place, a bed and meal eating place. We begin crate training in groups for short periods of time, slowly decreasing the pups at a time and increasing the time each until they are individual for spouts of 30 minutes each a day.
On and off lead training:
We encourage our own dogs as well as our forever families to begin off lead training from the very first walk. It can be a scary moment but ensuring they are in a safe and secure location until you feel more confident with the pups will make it a little less daunting. We give some guidance in our rearing information on the appropriate item for dogs to chase in outdoor areas as well as the different training methods for on and off lead training e.g. how to call back, slip lead method, loose lead training etc.
House appliances
As well as our noise therapy, we do use appliances around our puppies when they are in their pens and within the family home in order to help them adjust and be as confident as possible throughout their lives. These appliances include: vacuum, mop, doorbell, fan, TV, music and more!
Name training
The same as our toilet training, the puppies will not be FULLY able to respond to their name by the time they leave us, however we do begin name training the puppies with their permanent names at around week six using methods during play.
Toilet
We use a combination of puppy pads and pine pellets for toilet training our puppies and we introduce these to the puppies from day one, of course they are not expected to be able to start to know the difference between their toileting area and play/sleep areas until they are around week four. Our puppies will not be fully toilet trained when they go to their forever homes and we provide so guidance on toilet training in our rearing information.
Basic manners
Basic manners includes teaching to not to jump as a way to say hello, play biting is for your canine friends only, sitting for their food bowls. This is something we encourage our forever families to carry on.
Redirection of biting
Of course, puppies bite. It is completely natural and part of their development, but we do start teaching our puppies at around week 7 that biting is a no no. Our methods include a simple raise of the finger and verbal "no" as well as redirecting the puppy to something that is appropriate to bite such as a chew toy.
